Codebase’s iOS Training Lab is a 9-week deep dive into iOS development in Swift. Taught via immersive on-site instruction in beautiful Savannah, Georgia (SAGA), students will build and polish a new app every week for the first six weeks using real data via public API’s. During the final three weeks, students will work on teams in a simulated dev shop environment and build a real project for a local philanthropist or nonprofit organization.
Following completion of the Training Lab, Codebase aims to offer paid apprenticeship opportunities to top-performing individuals who want to live and work in Savannah.
Classes are taught in part by Max Howell, a seasoned mobile developer and creator of well-known open source projects like PromiseKit and Homebrew. He has built apps like TweetDeck (acquired by Twitter during Max’s tenure), Popular Pays, and Poncho, which was featured on the Planet of the Apps television show in 2017.
