All Day (1PM – 7PM):  Gulfstream Immersive Realities Exhibit.

Experience Gulfstream’s AR/VR Technology in this special showcase including hands-on demos featuring devices like the Occulous Rift and Microsoft’s HoloLens.

 

1PM – 2 PM. Teach the Future Presentations

4 groups of public and private school teachers will pitch ideas for bringing innovation into the classroom. For the past year this group has worked with business leaders, technologists and other educators to solve  the problems facing our classrooms, and Friday we’ll see the culmination of their work.  Teach the Future is a local community initiative to empower educators to bring innovative thinking and experimention into the classroom.  

 

2PM – 3 PM #MadeinSAV Founders Series.

Meet the Savannah founders that are building products with global impact and hear their stories.   The #MadeinSav Founders Series is a new initiative aimed at spotlighting awesome products and services that are being built right here in Savannah. These are products that got pitched last year, or ten years ago–products that have made it past the prototyping stage and are now shipping to real customers.

Kevin Lawver, CTO @ Planted:  NYC based software startup that helps growing companies hire employees.

Kathy Piette, Founder @ Corstrata:  Software and telemedicine platform for improving care for patients with chronic wounds.  Winner of the 2016 ATDC Fall Bootcamp.

Andreas Argentinis, CEO @ Metal Pressions:  Custom-made metal jewelry firm with easy to use software platform that allows customers, jewelers and partners to create beautiful and unique pieces.

 

3PM – 4 PM.  Gulfstream Immersive Realities Panel

Gulfstreams AR/VR team will discuss how they are using innovative technology to enhance customer experience through the private jet purchase and design process AND give attendees a special sneak peek in their AR/VR exhibit

 

4:30PM – 5PM Student Fast Pitch

In the student fast-pitch competition,  students from Georgia Southern, Armstrong and SCAD will take the stage to pitch their startup ideas.  The winner will receive $500 cash prize sponsored by the Georgia Tech Savannah Coding Bootcamp.

5PM – 6PM ATDC Savannah Bootcamp Graduate Pitches

Graduates from the 12 week intensive accelerator program will pitch to a panel of judges for a $5000 cash prize.   ATDC is a statewide initiative to cultivate high-tech, high-scale startups in Georgia.  The Startup bootcamp is a twelve-week intensive program in which entrepreneurs articulate, vet, test and rearticulate their ideas over and over until they have something truly worth building. These pitches will give local angel investors (and the rest of us) the first real look at the companies we’ll be watching closely over the next few years.

Pitch Competition Judges

Clegg Ivey:  Serial Entrepreneur, Investor and guildmaster at the Guild Hall.
Clegg has founded or helped the early stages of several startups, and his business plans/pitches have raised more than $71 million during the last fifteen years from VCs like Crosspoint and Mayfield. Mr. Ivey’s portfolio of startups includes Voxeo (acquired in 2013 by Aspect Communications for $150M); Tropo, Inc. (acquired in 2015 for more than $100M); Redux Beverages; Savannah to Go!; The Guild Hall and The Chromatic Dragon.

Brian Bason:  15 years of diversified experience in technology and as an entrepreneur.  CEO / Founder at Bark.us (current), CTO / Founding employee at Niche (acquired by Twitter), CEO / Co-founder at CrowdStream (acquired by RadioIO), CTO / Founding employee at YouCast Corp. (acquired by SocialChorus)

 

6PM – 7PM.  Happy Hour!
