When:  Wednesday January 8, 6:00 – 9:00PM

Where:  Bull Street Labs, 2222 Bull Street

Refresh Savannah

Refresh is a monthly meetup with a speaker (or speakers) and then when the speaking is done, there’s time to work on your side project, ask questions, get and give help and generally hang out with a bunch of fellow developers, designers, entrepreneurs, etc.

January Refresh:

Demystifying Neural Networks

Register

January’s Presenter will be Nicholas Bulka

This month’s Refresh is an introduction to neural networks to discover what makes them tick. What exactly does it mean for a machine to “learn”? The goal of this presentation is to reveal some of the intuition behind neural networks and show using Python that the math really isn’t all that scary. After the intuition is established there will be a break to answer questions and clarify details. We will then look at how the same implementation can be written using an API like tensorflow, and then again look at the same implementation written for a high level API called Keras.

We’re always looking for speakers. If you’re interested, reach out to Kevin on Slack (https://www.techsav.co/join-in), or email him (kevin@lawver.net)
