I spoke at lunchFunction about Slack and Business Automation and well, I figured I’d share the slides since some of them are kind of funny.
If you weren’t there to see it in person, I talked about using Slack as a tool for automating the business tasks that should be automated, and giving people the tools to help themselves.
For example, at Planted, we use Zoom for video conferencing, and frequently have people in transit who need to call in. They’re always asking for the dial in number… and who has the space in their brain to remember another phone number? So, we created a custom response, so any time someone types in zoomnumbers, it automatically replies with the number they can use! And since they’re on their phones most of the time, it’s clickable and dials it for them. And the best part about it? No one had to write any code to make that happen. Hooray, technology!
