2018 is almost over, and we ended our events with a Holiday Mixer at the Labs 2 weeks ago. The Creative Coast hosted the event and we saw so many organizations come together to sponsor including, SCORE Mentors Savannah, City of Savannah, Open Savannah and TAG(Technology Association of Georgia) Savannah. The festive atmosphere, holiday music and great mix of people led to a fun night with new connections, meeting up with old friends and the sense that we are part of a growing community of passionate and energetic minds.
The proceeds from the Holiday Mixer were donated to Santa’s Pantry, the non-profit we support to help feed hungry kids in the Savannah area over the holidays. The proceeds from the Holiday Mixer exceeded $1000 (!) and the TechSAV Facebook fundraiser collected over $1000 (!). 673 bags of food were delivered last weekend, which is estimated to feed 1000 people total in the area.
